The tracts within cover 84 years in studying “Bible Colleges.” The writers featured had passed on by the time this book was published, except for Poer, who has included one of his tracts on the subject. The other tracts are from:

Jesse Ermin Poer (1900–1985) was a well-known localized Gospel preacher and minister in central Indiana. He actively officiated and preached in Boone County and the surrounding areas for decades, operating deeply within the theological tradition of the American Restoration Movement historically associated with the Churches of Christ and Christian Churches.

Poer compiled this book to distribute locally at tent revivals, church meetings, and to hand out to families within his ministry, likely printed in the mid-20th century (roughly between the 1940s and 1960s).

Poer states his displeasure at assembling this collection of tracts: “I have no pleasure in authoring the book love unity and peace with brethren in Christ, but I must have purity first, James 3:17 puts purity before unity.”
