A carved wooden mask in the form of the monkey (Ngon) which probably originates from the Koulikoro region at the centre of the Bamana country in Mali, West Africa.

The mask has a well weathered surface, with some areas of encrustation evident on the interior of the mask.

The mask measures 18.5 x 7 inches.  There is no display stand.
