The statue captures the dramatic climax of the legend: Mori triumphantly raising a massive sake cup (sakazuki) high above his head with his right hand, while his left hand grips the legendary spearhead "Nihon-go" — the largest spear in all of Japan.

The highly detailed figure is dressed in formal Kamishimo court attire with wide Hakama trousers, reflecting his prestigious rank as an elite member of the "Kuroda Twenty Knights" and the "Kuroda Eight Tigers." This iconic depiction of Mori Taihee has been a beloved motif in Hakata Ningyo arts and Japanese decorative metalwork for centuries. Full-sized bronze monuments of him still stand today at Hakata Station and the Koun Shrine in Fukuoka.

The craftsmanship is exceptional, featuring realistic facial expressions with a powerful brow and a lifelike, flowing volume in the drapery of the robes.
