Vintage Lazy Ike Huskie Ike KL-4 YS fishing lure with original box from Lazy Ike Corporation, Fort Dodge, Iowa.

The box end is marked KL-4 YS, and the box identifies the lure as a Huskie Ike. The lure itself is an orange body with black spot markings. The box carries the older Lazy Ike branding, including “A ‘Lazy Ike’ Original Made in U.S.A.,” “Successor to the Live Minnow,” and Lazy Ike Corporation, Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Lazy Ike is one of the classic American fishing lure names, known for its distinctive curved-body diving design and slow wobbling swimming action. The advertising printed on the box emphasizes that action, stating that Lazy Ike plugs and spoons were tested for fish-catching qualities and made for game fishing. This boxed example is especially collectible because the original box, clear cover, and interior paper/insert are still present.
