What is a Natsume? A Natsume is a traditional, highly prestigious wooden lacquerware tea caddy shaped like a jujube fruit (natsume in Japanese). This is a tea caddy used to hold matcha powder that has been sifted in a tea strainer beforehand, and is brought to the tea ceremony room when preparing thin tea (Usucha). ⚠️ Critical Care Instructions for Longevity: To preserve the timeless beauty of this authentic Japanese lacquerware, please follow these traditional care rules strictly:

・DO NOT WASH WITH WATER: Lacquerware is extremely sensitive to moisture. Never wash it in a sink, never use dish soap, and never put it in a dishwasher.

・How to Clean: After use, simply wipe off any remaining matcha powder or fingerprints gently using a dry, soft cloth (such as microfiber or soft tissue).
