new systems there is VERY LITTLE we can do to properly and fairly resolve a
matter. eBay Requests Now = You Ship It Back To Us; No
Middle Ground to work things out between Buyer and Seller. If you open a
Request eBay will now Auto-Approve a Return almost all the time vs
providing us the multiple customer service options. If you open an return
request you will likely have to drop the item off at the Post Office. We would
like to save you this hassle if at all possible.
We have worked things out 100% of the
time with our customers since 2002 on eBay, please send us an eBay Message vs.
hitting the now limiting "Request" button. We are still
happy to take back items if you simply change your mind, but again please send
us an eBay Message and we will generate an RMA Number and quickly provide you
with a shipping label or instruction to get your refund ASAP.
If we mess up we will fully stand behind our mistake, or
even if the USPS or UPS breaks the item, we will refund you in full or work
something out that you will be 100% satisfied with. In addition, many
times there are other reasons for a Buyer's concern over an item which can be
resolved via communication between Buyer and Seller. One Example: If you
disagree with an items Condition Grading in our listing once you receive it,
and you want to keep the item for a FAIR price, we will work with you.
The new eBay System "Upgrades" unfortunately have
taken this valued communication option away between the Buyer and Seller.
We of course will work with the new eBay "enhancements" to their
platform, as we do not have a choice. However, we want to stress that we will
still honor the old system that helped make eBay so great. We feel the Buyer
and Seller should communicate in order to keep Model Train buying FUN, SAFE and
FAIR. Please also consider this information when dealing with other Sellers no
matter what you buy on eBay. Many Sellers (not all) will make things right when
given the opportunity!

1-
What you see in the pictures is what you are bidding on or buying and what you
will receive*; Please do not assume other items come with the item unless you
see them in the pictures OR it is clearly stated.* (If an item is on track,
display blocks, or has any other items used for display that not included in
the sale, those items will not be shipped to you; Please ask if you are not
sure if a certain item is included).
2- If
you need more pictures or information, please ask. Do not assume. We can also
supply 4k Ultra-HD Video of engines and higher dollar items upon request in
most cases.
3- We
have a 30 day return policy, if you are not 100% Satisfied you may
return the item for a refund of the item cost. If we have made an error,
we will work with you to resolve it. With all returns, the item must be
returned in the same condition as it was sent to you in, no parts removed or
swapped out, same packaging, and of course be the SAME ITEM we sent you. If you
return an item under the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee the Buyer must pay for
shipping unless Toy Trains 'N' More has made an error, or there is an issue
with the item. The exception to this is if we list an item as "Free
Returns", in this case we will cover return shipping even if there is
nothing wrong with item. In all cases, if we make a mistake we will
of course pay for the shipping back to us. In any event: You must report any
concern with an item within the first 30 days of receiving it, please do so via
eBay Messenger. Please be advised that if there is any damage to the item or
packaging, included instructions, or any other aspect of the item
or it's packaging, there may be a reduction in funds returned to you
to cover any damage. Therefore, please be very careful when you open items. We
over-pad/pack our items, please be careful when removing layers of bubblewrap
and other packing materials.
4- We
accept payment via eBay Manage Payments, which allows you to pay with all major
credit cards, PayPal and other options. We do not have viability into how you
pay. We cannot expedite refunds with Credit Card Companies or other payment
sources, those matters should be directed to eBay. We will do all we can on our
side to support you, and will complete our required actions as fast as
possible.
5-
Attention Ethically Challenged: We will pursue charges against you if you try
to steal, scam or rip us off. Note: A Class D Felony is theft, extortion or
damage to property of a minimum of $500. DO NOT COMMIT A FELONY OVER A TOY
TRAIN. We will also pursue charges for Misdemeanor offenses against us.
Scammers, find somewhere else to steal from. Honest folks, the above does not
apply to you.
6- We
ship UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail on standard items, and may use USPS First
Class Mail on small items; If you wish to have an item shipped a particular
way, send a note and we will get the shipping cost back to you ASAP. We
currently are not shipping via FedEx due to a high damage rate we had
out of the Washington DC Area.
7- We
inspect every single train/item before it is packaged and shipped to you. This
includes 10+ photographs pre-shipping, which may include the packing process on
items over a certain dollar value; Our listing and packing areas are under
heavy 4K and 8K UHD video surveillance. We can well prove what we shipped you
and its condition when it left us. If there is an issue, please make sure the
item you request to return for refund is the item we sent you and that the
damage was not caused by you. We have top rated customer service and are very
easy to work with and fair, but we will not be extorted in any situation.
8- If
there is an issue with the item upon our pre-shipping inspection, we will
present you with options. This is rare, but mistakes and accidents can happen,
but we 100% stand behind or errors.
9-
Please do not ask us to break-up factory sets, or to break-up things like an
Engine and Tender. If you see several listing for items you would like bundled
together, please contact us for options. We are flexible and offer bulk
discounts.

sell. This policy is designed for HONEST PEOPLE who have a REAL issue with one
of our items. We do our very best to make sure items we sell are in
proper working order and have been represented 100% accurately. However,
mistakes happen, things can break during shipping, etc. If you are an

***Condition of Trains and Accessories***
We are train buyers, operators and collectors also - Over
the years we've learned the hard way that pricing is just one of many factors!
Do not be distracted by just a low price like so many eBay buyers are. You will
just be dealing with a return, and might not get your money back from the
bargain seller. We also suggest using caution when buying trains from a
non-store based private seller; They usually are not trying to be deceptive.
However, buying from a Train Dealer with a 111 year history selling trains, who
has a Service Center, and knowledge/resources will usually yield you better
results. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Properly
selling trains costs money and takes time. Servicing and properly cleaning
trains costs us money, and as such these services add value. We encourage you
to factor in all elements when deciding what you buy and who you buy it
from.
Service on Train Engines: Please factor in if an Engine or
Train has been Fully Serviced when comparing pricing, a professional servicing
of an engine at a qualified Service Center adds performance, looks, value and
life to the engine or train! A Full Service on an engine will now cost you at
least $65/hour + Parts if you get it done at a qualified Service Center or by
a professional train technician.
We Do Not Test Factory Sealed, NEW IN BOX or otherwise
never opened before items, unless specifically specified that we have. If there
is an item with a Factory Sealed or New In Box (NIB) item once you
receive it, contact us as soon as you discover the issue. Keep all packaging,
re-pack train/item and we will send you a return label. Please do not
attempt to repair the item, as this could VOID any Warranty and/or Our Return
Policy.
As an added service, we will handle Factory Warranty Claims
on New in Warranty Items for you in most cases vs. you having to deal with the
manufacture. We want you as a happy long-term customer, not just for
a single sale of an item! Earning a customer and your repeat business is our
objective, and we will do everything we can to make this
happen.
***Payment and Shipping***
Payment must be made within 24 hours of winning an auction,
purchasing with "Buy Now", or upon an accepted offer unless otherwise
stated. If you need longer to pay please send us a message via eBay
Messenger with details - We are friendly and flexible within
reason. Please try to pay as soon as you win or buy so we can ship
promptly.
Shipping Times: Most items are packed within one day of payment and we
have UPS/USPS pick-ups from most of our locations M-F, or we drop the packages
off. However, we place 2-3 Business Days as the processing time in our listings
as a default because we send certain items to pre-shipping service prior to
packing them, such as: All non-factory sealed engines that have been on the
shelf for three months or more after we serviced them last get lubricated, all
items with batteries (we remove batteries once items are serviced and tested
before placing them on the shelf pending sale, then put fresh batteries in and
test once an item sells), used car sets that have been sitting on the shelf for
six months or more after we last serviced them to lubricate and test lights,
and any item that does not pass a pre-shipping test (track test, or power-up
test for accessories). The purpose of the above is to avoid returns whenever
possible, this greatly reduces the chance of you getting frustrated and having
to deal with shipping an item back, which also costs us money in shipping, and
possibly making the difference between a repeat buyer
and one-time sale. We know from experience that train sellers
who pack and ship all items immediately are not taking these quality
assurance and control measures on items that should be tested and/or
serviced before being sent out to you. One day processing and shipping on all
trains might sound good, before you considering the above. Please
look at our reviews to see that we ship quickly, properly, and most importantly
we send you items that work properly.
We combine shipping on multiple items.
The eBay system changes have made combine shipping easier is most cases.
The system now auto-combines shipping if a Seller has Combine Shipping set-up.
Keep in mind that you may not see the combine shipping until you go to pay. If
you go to pay and do not see the combine shipping, please send us a note and we
adjust the shipping on the invoice. If you make an error and pay for
items separately, we will work it out and refund you. You will be pleased
with Toy Trains 'N' More Multi-Item Shipping Prices and Our Customer
Service.
Please do not stay away from bidding on, or buying one of
our items due to the listed Shipping Price being higher than they should be. We
can usually work something out. If the shipping cost does not look right,
please send us a note. On items with variable rate shipping eBay sets the
rates, we do not have control over what eBay's System lists as the shipping
charges. However, if we are alerted that shipping
appears excessive, we can look up the actual rate and adjust the
shipping accordingly for you.
All of our items are packaged to safely survive at least
a 10 foot fall onto concrete. We do not go cheap on packaging; We use
a wide variety of shipping boxes and ALWAYS use a lot of Bubblewrap.
Disclosure: We MAY add $0.25-$4.00 for shipping supplies to
the actual cost of the postage, this is based on size and materials
required.
We are easy to work with. We will do our best to get you
trains and train items you want for a fair price all around! We have a great
