1915 WWI SERBIA SERBIAN ALBANIAN COMMEMORATIVE LOYALTY TO THE FATHERLAND MEDAL
The Commemorative Medal for Loyalty to the Fatherland 1915, commonly known as the Albanian Commemorative Medal or Albanian Memorial, is a distinguished Serbian military decoration commemorating one of the most difficult episodes in Serbian history during the First World War.
The medal was instituted on April 5, 1920, by decree of Crown Prince-Regent Alexander I of Yugoslavia. It was awarded to military and civilian personnel who survived the arduous retreat of the Serbian Army through the mountains of Albania and Montenegro during the Central Powers' invasion of Serbia in 1915. This retreat, remembered as the Albanian Golgotha, became a symbol of endurance, sacrifice, and national resilience.

(“To My Brothers in Arms, Alexander”)
