Step back into mid-century California with this vintage lot of two 16mm Kodachrome home movie reels.

These films are being sold as-found and untested, but the original boxes contain handwritten notes identifying a variety of subjects and locations that may be captured on the reels.

According to the box inscriptions, subjects may include a parade, Pasadena flower show, views of Corona del Mar and Ensenada, family home movies, and footage associated with actor Preston Foster ("movie star"). The reels remain wound on their original spools and are accompanied by their period Kodak mailing boxes bearing vintage postage.

These reels offer wonderful potential for collectors, historians, film preservation enthusiasts, genealogists, or anyone interested in vintage California travel and family footage.
