This is an ORIGINAL 1950 Girl Guide cloth badge and accompanying badge certificate.  It is the "Hostess" Girl Guide badge and the certificate is dated 15th May 1950.   The badge measures 4.5cm in diameter - larger than the later issue badges.   The certificate measures 13.7cm x 9.1cm. 

The badge is in a very good condition.   Clean and fresh on reverse.  The odd tiny tuft to edges - I don't think it has ever been stitched on to a uniform.

The certificate is in a good condition.  Has been folded vertically in half in the past and will be sent that way.  General edge, fold end and corner rubs, very small creases at bottom corners, light creases and light bends at top corners, some light bends to item, light creases and bends at fold ends, some rubbing along fold, some very light browning to certificate with the odd very small and tiny mark - more on reverse.   Please check scans carefully as they help with condition too.

I do pack my cards well to withstand a long journey and to try and ensure that they are well protected against damage and weather, this means that the package does not fit through the 5mm letter slot and is sent as a small parcel.
