The sad iron is large and heavy with a twisted handle. Measures roughly 8-3/4" long and 1-3/4" wide. There is a makers mark that looks like it reads C. & H. 10, but could also be G. & H. 10. The first letter looks like it could be a C or G. The iron shows age and has rust and patina. There is also a casting imperfection on the backside of the handle, and the handle leans slightly to one side. It is very minor but can be seen in the pics and I thought it should be mentioned. See pictures for best description. 

This would make a great door stop, 10lbs 8oz and not to big or too small, just the right size.
