Working in Boston c1840-1852 where they supplied Lincoln and Foss and other important retailers.
In 1852 moved to new York to work with Tiffany, and became one of their most important
suppliers of fine silver.
In 1862 the firm changed, and Grosjean became an important designer at Tiffany.

Grosjean and Woodward coin silver (.900 pure or more) is 13 inches long and 9 inches tall over 95 standard ounces.
In amazingly fine condition for such a large 180-year old example.
The interior is perfectly clean as if little / never used.
Retains original detail throughout.

Cover fits flush, stands firm on table.
Few faint nicks along cover edge, and very faint halo to interior only where one leg joins base.
