A highly collectable late 10th century English hammered penny with attractive old cabinet tone, strong silver surfaces, and unusually readable legends for the type.
The coin has an old piercing, likely from historic suspension or jewellery use, which forms part of its long historical journey. Despite this, the coin retains excellent character and strong overall eye appeal.
