Antique-style solid brass wall mirror with integrated double candle holders. Heavy cast construction with deep pierced floral work, beveled glass mirror, and a sunburst crest. This is the real early 20th century type, not a modern thin reproduction.
Details from your piece:
• Design: rectangular frame with sunburst fan top, pierced flowers and vines on all four sides, small corner panels with a bird and an owl (see photos 2, 3, and 8)
• Mirror: original beveled glass, approx 9 inches tall x 5.5 inches wide, set in a stamped brass inner border
• Candle arms: one-piece lower bar with two taper cups, each with a small side hook. Cups fit a standard 7/8 inch candle, show light wax residue inside
• Size: approx 15.5 inches tall x 10.75 inches wide x 3.75 inches deep from wall
• Mounting: original hanging loop on back, plus solid brass back plate screwed in place (photo 9)
Condition: excellent antique condition with untouched patina. Brass is a warm honey gold with darker shading in the recesses. There is natural verdigris on the lower right and left corner blocks as pictured, light surface wear, and a fine stable hairline in the casting on the right side. Mirror has light age spotting and very minor edge fogging, no cracks. No bends, no repairs, candle bar is tight.
This is the piece that sells the "dark academia" and Victorian hallway look — candlelight reflects in the mirror and throws floral shadows through the piercework.
