I have this huge lot of stamped covers, letters, vignettes, checks and unused stamps from the 1870s and newer. I am not a stamp collector and have not examined these for collectibility value. I don't know how. There are hundreds of letters in old envelopes with used stamps, many used checks from the late 1890s when they required stamps on checks to raise money for the Spanish-American War, lots of checks and letters and envelopes from the late 1890s and early 1900s with neat engraving vignettes and more. I found these all in an old house in Maryland when I was a teenager and have had them in a box for 50 years. Never knew what to do with them. I would like to find someone who will enjoy going through them and finding fun stuff. I have read many of the letters and replaced them in their original envelopes. I only took a few pictures to show the large amount of stuff in this lot. You can't see all of what's here. Most of the unused stamps from the 60s are in plastic sleeves. These look like commemorative stamps. There are also a bunch of foreign stamps on used envelopes from the 1960s and later. Many of these are air mail. Quite the variety. Many from the 1890s are from businesses with neat vignettes on the envelopes and letters inside. You'll spend hours going through these!
Please ask questions before bidding. No returns. Postage is $14.56 additional for this lot. Thanks!
