A knife by Ryuichi Kawamura, one of Japan’s leading custom knife makers.
He began making knives in 1994 and has worked professionally since 2002. He is a veteran maker with an award-winning record not only in Japan but also at overseas knife shows.

Mr. Kawamura advocates “Slow made” craftsmanship, and says he can produce only about four knives per month—around 40 to 50 per year. The quality and care in his work are outstanding.
Most of his knives are sold overseas, making this a rare piece by Mr. Kawamura.

This is a tribute knife to Jess Horn, one of the custom knife makers Mr. Kawamura respects.
He recreated the classic SF (Small Fighter) with his own arrangement.
With perfectly smooth action free of even the slightest wobble, a delicate hairline-finished blade, and beautifully finished natural Japanese deer stag (wa-jika) scales, this is truly a flawless piece.
During his lifetime, Jess Horn himself highly praised and endorsed the tribute knives made by Mr. Kawamura.
