This is a work by Mr. Nakayama, a netsuke carver and custom knife maker active not only in Japan but around the world.

It features a unique mechanism for extending and retracting the ballpoint, inspired by the bolt-action of a rifle. The design also evokes a classic, old-fashioned atmosphere that you’ll grow attached to.

The body is machined from solid stainless-steel bar stock. The slightly blackened stainless body contrasts beautifully with the golden brass used for the clip, the cylinder visible through the bolt-action section, and the pen tip—making this a refined piece with an intellectual feel.
