This is a great
ANTIQUE
BRASS BELL
mounted on a
SPRING
In my estimation it dates from around the mid 19th Century, but please make up your own mind about this.
The bell and spring together measure approx 11 1/2 inches (290mm) tall.
The bell itself measures approx 2 1/4 inches (58mm) tall by 2 1/4 inches (58mm) in diameter, and is made from solid brass throughout.
(The bell is mounted on a strong, spiral spring, (Designed to sit on a pivot in the center) and would be suited for use as a door or servant type bell.)
It gives a good loud, clear ring.
It is in good, antique condition with light wear consistent with its age, but no damage or repairs.
This is a fine example of its type and it would make a great addition to any collection.
Please see the photos for condition and type
weight approx 210 grams.
