**Description:**

Up for auction/sale is an authentic, player-issued Tucci Lumber maple baseball bat manufactured for outfielder Joey Gathright during his 2009 season with the Chicago Cubs.

The knob of the bat is stamped with the exact production date of March 18, 2009, which places its delivery directly into the Cubs' 2009 Spring Training camp in Mesa, Arizona. The knob features the correct 33/30 specifications and has a handwritten player tracking number "4" in sharpie.

The barrel is correctly engraved with "Joey Gathright / Chicago Cubs" alongside the authentic Tucci Maple TTX leaf logo stamp.

**Condition:**

The bat has a clean, structural split/crack through the handle from player use. Because of the crack, it is sold strictly as a sports memorabilia display item and is not intended for field use. It features great barrel grain and makes an incredible, authentic piece of Cubs clubhouse history for a wall mount or fan cave.
