Description - Antique 19th century William IV Scottish solid silver cheroot case of rectangular form with a hinge lid
embellished with engine turned decoration, plus a vacant cartouche.
Fully hallmarked with the three-towered castle for Edinburgh assay, the Scottish thistle indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, date "C" for the year 1834 and the maker's mark "JN" which is James Nasmyth.
Condition - In very good condition, there is some decoration rubbing around the cartouche
hinge is strong with no wobble and closes the lid securely
