Appearance: colorless and odorless free-flowing powder
Solubility: forms a polymeric stable gel in water
pH 6.0-7.0 (2% aqueous solution)
Properties:
- biodegradable green component derived from wood,
- easily mixed with acids, alkalis, alcohol,
- stable at pH 2-12,
- gels even in cool water,
- does not require stabilization,
- economical to use,
- easily washed off from skin or hair,
- excellent sensory characteristics,
- transparency of formulas.
Cosmetic use:
0.1-3%
- liquid gels — 0.1-0.5%,
- thick gel — 0.6-1%,
- viscous structural gel — 1.2-2.4%,
- thick jelly — 2.5-3%.
Storage: the powder is hygroscopic, store tightly sealed in a dry place
