Description - Antique late 19th century Victorian solid silver cigarette case of rectangular plain form with two cigarette compartments, spring loaded hinge and a push button clasp,

the front has an engraved monogram,

silver-gilt (gold washed) interior and with retention straps.

Fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, date "P" for the year 1898 and the maker's mark "WN" which is William Neale.

Condition - In good condition, some minor bruising which is hard to notice and there  is a small minor fracture to the top left front corner (please inspect end photograph)

hinge is strong and the push button clasp works perfectly closing the lid securely, interior silver-gilt is nice and bright,

the monogram has rubbing and faint
