The first half of the 10th volume of the Catalogue contains the revision of those large parts of the Psaphidinae which have long been interpreted as members of the subfamily Acronictinae and Xyleninae (the subtribes Diphtherocomina and Nacnina, and certain newly discovered Psaphidinae genera).
The second half is the second part of Toxocampinae (Erebidae), containing the Lygephila-Tathorhynchus and the Perinaenia-Isoura-Exophyla generic complexes, the sister-groups of the Autophila-Apopestes generic complex which has been treated in the 7th volume of the series.This volume includes altogether 13 genera, two of them (Vigentinocome and Discibocome) are newly established. Vigentinocome is divided into four subgenera, Vigentinocome, Chrysocome, Criocome and Bryochlorome).The volume is illustrated with 28 colour plates of high quality magnified photos displaying all taxa included and 20 colour plates showing the variation of each taxon in natural size. The genitalia of all species and subspecies are shown in 107 black and white plates.
