Part of Cartier’s more jewelry-oriented watchmaking, the Andine is defined by playful asymmetry, geometric forms and elaborate gem-setting. This example, dating to circa the late 1980s to early 1990s, is crafted in 18k yellow gold with a particularly sculptural diamond-set case.

Asscher-cut diamonds are set seamlessly within the hexagonal bezel, preserving its strong geometric outline. Larger Asscher-cut diamonds flank the case, topped by bars of round brilliant diamonds, while the diamond-set crown completes the composition.

The white dial is a departure from Cartier’s more familiar Roman numeral layouts, with black pointed stick markers alternating with Arabic numerals at the quarters and Cartier’s signature blued-steel hands.

owered by the Cartier caliber 852 manual-wind movement, the watch is accompanied by two custom-made straps: robin’s egg blue for a playful pop of color and black for a more formal look. A Cartier 18k yellow gold deployant clasp is included and can be used with either strap.
