This is a real deal OEM Ford accessory Rotunda 8,000 RPM tachometer from the 1960's. This tach was used by Ford on many of their Ford and Mercury race cars. It is most well known for being installed on the 1964 Fairlane Thunderbolts. This tach is ink stamped on the back 8 CYL and Aug -- 1963 as shown.   This tachometer is designed to work with V8 engines and has a simply hook up of one wire to the positive side of the ignition switch and the other to the positive side of the coil. This tachometer would be right at home in a variety of applications.

This tachometer is in amazing unrestored original condition as shown.  The dial is bright, chrisp, and easy to read. The real glass lens is clean and clear with no cracks or chips and some light debris on the inside as shown.  The bezel is very nice with no dings or dents and a couple hairline splits on the bottom which is commonplace on this tachs.  This tach has been tested and works well throughout the RPM band and returns to zero when powered off. The in dial lamp is in in good working condition as shown. This is an awesome original Rotunda 8K tach!
