    When you need to replace the cv axle?

    How To Remove CV Axle?

    Step 1: Remove  the old one.

    1. Remove the hub cap or center cap from the wheel.

    2. Remove the cotter pin from axel nut.

    3. Use a breaker bar and socket to loosen the hub nut. Once you break the hub nut loose, you can use a ratchet and socket to remove it.

    4. Remove the brake caliper and remove hub.

    5. Unbolt the hub from the strut tower

    6. Hammer the outer CV joint and gently tap the joint until it is removed from the hub.

    7.Remove the CV axle from the vehicle.

    Step 2: Install the new one.

    1. Get the new axle and line up the splines with the differential before pushing the new axle into place. It’s a good idea to grease up the splines on the the new axles before installing.

    2. Reinsert the axle through the hub assembly.

    3. Install the axle into knuckle.

    4. Reinstall the cap screw and hub nut and brake caliper.
