Rare First-Run Ghostbusters VHS Promo Flight Suit
This rare Ghostbusters screen-accurate flight suit was produced as a promotional item tied to the 1984 home‑video release of Ghostbusters by RCA Columbia Pictures Home Video. It was part of a broader wave of promotional merchandise created for video store retailers and marketing partners during the film’s initial VHS rollout. This flight suit was released and distributed in the run up to the Ghostbusters' Halloween 1984 debut on video store shelves. This tan suit features a fully embroidered no-ghost logo on the right sleeve and an RCA Columbia Pictures Home Video logo on the right chest pocket. It is the rarer of two variations with later suits produced in black or charcoal gray with sewn-on patches in place of the more artful embroidered logos. Neither version was sold at retail and were distributed in limited quantities to video store owners for the express purpose of outfitting employees with Ghostbuster costumes to promote the first release of the film on home video. Surviving suits are rare in the extreme as these were produced in very limited numbers and supplied only through home video distribution networks. Most were discarded after use or adopted into private collections. This specific flight suit comes with the original Audio/Video Plus logo patch that was attached with Velcro to the left chest pocket (this would have traditionally held the name tag of the Ghostbuster in question). A rare, historical piece of video store ephemera.

• First-run flight suit with embroidered patches and large no-ghost logo silk screened on back

• Flight suit is the CWU 17/P Flyers Coverall style (the most screen-accurate flightsuit available)
• Six external pockets with 7th "flash light" pocket on upper left thigh, two internal pockets at sides and one small pocket with pen holders on left sleeve
• Zip-front entry with expandable boot release zippers on both leg fronts
• Velcro adjustment straps on sleeve ends and at torso just above waist
• Airholes bradded in either under arm
• Men's Size Large, fits like a regular with shorter legs
• Measures 23 inches across the chest (adjustable at waiste), torso measures 29 inches from bottom of collar to top of inseam
