Milovan Lazarević was born in 1954 in Stubica near Paracin (Serbia), where he still lives. Thanks to his natural talent and diligent work, his cheerful and colorful compositions led him to distant countries world where he exhibited in solo and joint exhibitions. After these trips, he returned to work with new vigor.
Milovan Lazarevic is celebrated among collectors of Eastern European folk art for his whimsical and highly detailed interpretations of rural village life.  The artist is a prominent figure in Serbian naive and folk art.
