How to use:
Step 1: First, find a flat table or table saw surface. Attach the ruler and height gauge and place them flat on the surface. Zero the dial indicator.
Step 2: Place the ruler at one end of the fingerboard. Center the dial indicator at the inner edge of the bridge. Observe the change in the pointer reading compared to the zero reading in Step 1. This is the current height difference between the fingerboard and the bridge. You can then calculate how much wood needs to be removed from the neck joint to obtain the correct neck angle.
It can also measure the nut height for the desired string action.
