Recommended materials include general timber, bamboo, laminated wood, decking material, particle board (OSB), and composite wood panels. The blade is made from high carbon steel, commonly known as SK steel, and the surface is treated with electroless nickel plating for improved rust resistance.
How to Use a Japanese Pull Saw
Unlike many Western saws, a Japanese pull saw cuts when you pull the blade toward you.
Please do not push hard into the wood.
Use light pressure and let the teeth do the work.
For best results:
- Start the cut gently with short, controlled strokes.
- Keep the blade straight and relaxed.
- Cut mainly on the pull stroke.
- Avoid twisting the blade while cutting.
- Do not use excessive force, as the thin blade may bend or break.
Japanese pull saws are designed for smooth, accurate cutting with less effort once you get used to the pulling motion.
※Please handle this blade carefully. It is very sharp and should be used only for its intended purpose. For your safety, use proper protection and avoid excessive force or twisting while cutting. The seller cannot be responsible for accidents caused by misuse or improper handling.
