Released in 2007, the Kenwood DPX-55MD is a 2-DIN car audio head unit capable of playing CDs and
MiniDiscs (MDs). Despite its simple design, it features a 50W x 4-channel amplifier, an AM/FM tuner,
and an AUX input, making it a rare model from the late 2000s that supports MD media. In terms of sound
quality, it delivered high signal-to-noise ratios and wide bandwidth for both CD and MD playback,
making it a popular choice as a standard model of its time.
