Description:

The Pioneer Flying Seconds is a truly unique creation and a watchmaking marvel to behold. Recent Moser watches have been outstanding, and this 3240-1200 lives up to the reputation. The showstopper of this watch is the jump hour-esque movement and "flying seconds," both of which give a very abstract/futuristic feel. The watch functions by showing the hour in one of three dial cutouts and the minutes on a rotating plate in the center of the cutouts. As the minute plate rotates, the numbers track from 00-60; by the time the 60th minute hits, 00 is lined up at the next dial cutout and ready to start a new hour. When 60 minutes pass, the next hour snaps into place instantaneously at the next cutout. The dial itself is a stunning white fume, and underneath the dial is Moser's in-house Caliber HMC 240 automatic movement with 72 hours of power reserve.
