Original vintage 1998 NHL All-Star Game ticket stub from the NHL All-Star Game held on Sunday, January 18, 1998 at General Motors Place in Vancouver.

This authentic used ticket stub (not a full ticket) is from the 48th NHL All-Star Game, held in the same year as the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano. To showcase the NHL’s growing international presence, the league adopted an International Showdown format, featuring North America All-Stars vs. World All-Stars.

While players were divided by geographic origin, coaches were still selected based on the top teams from each conference at the time of the All-Star break. This game also marked the final NHL All-Star Game to feature both Honorary Captains and the Commissioner’s Selections system, which had been in use since the 1985 and 1991 All-Star Games, respectively.

A strong piece of late-1990s NHL history tied directly to the league’s global expansion era.
