Car is scratch-built from wood. Size is approximately 2" long x 1" x 1" 
Likely this model was built from measurements of a prototype real world car.

No couplers, I speculate this is a car that would likely be used with a winch and haulage cable. Perfect for lowering supplies down/Up incline track work.
