Here is a rare original (I believe 1970s) Murray Built "Ranger" 5-speed banana seat muscle bike. (Serial Number appears to be M05280A****?) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!)
*This is arguably one of the very COOLEST non Schwinn muscle bikes of all time! You see the Schwinn KRATE and Stingray bikes sometimes but almost never see these. I actively collect and look for old bikes on a daily basis. This is the VERY FIRST one of these I have ever seen! These are SUPER COOL and were designed after the drag racing muscle cars of the time! They hit the nail on the head with this one! They are SO cool!
*The bike is loaded with COOL features!!!!!! This one has a cool design original factory gold paint frame and forks with original paint and decals, chrome chainguard, 5-speed Dyna Shift console stick shifter, chrome rear sissy bar, original matching banana "bucket" seat, (has rips) high rise apehanger handlebars, unique matching original GOLD cool grips, reflecotr pedals, chrome front and rear fenders, (guard and fenders have dents) Allvit 5-speed derailleur, and so much more!
*This one has the cool 20x2.125 rear wheel with a CHEATER SLIK rear tire. The front wheel is 20x1.75". Both front and rear tires hold air. The gears shift and the hand brakes are operable. (may need fine tuning adjustment or possible cable replacement)
*This bike has so much going for it.... such a cool color and an over the top design! I have NEVER seen a Murray Eliminator sold under the RANGER name? Not sure where this was sold when it was new but it is quite interesting!

*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad for its age! I LOVE the fact that this bike wears its original paint! (Has chips scratches age etc_ The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before!
