A fantastic Piaget from the 1970s, featuring a striking bark finish throughout in a two-tone execution. The 18k white gold cushion case integrates notched hour markers within the textured surface of the bezel.
The dial carries a rich blue tone with a pronounced bark finish that shifts to charcoal depending on the light, contrasted by minimal white printed “Piaget” and “Swiss,” and white gold dauphine hands.
The crown is unsigned, and the watch is powered by the ultra-thin caliber 12P1 automatic movement, fitted with a 24k gold rotor.
There are differing views within our team regarding the watch’s original configuration—whether it began life with an integrated bracelet and was later modified with lugs to accommodate a leather strap. If so, the work has been professionally executed. The piece is accompanied by a Piaget 18k white gold buckle and is currently paired with a custom midnight blue goat leather strap.
