This vintage artist made sterling silver brooch features a cloisonne
rendition of a seated Native American woman. She appears in red against
a pink background. Her hair is black and her earrings are blue. Her
hands are in her lap. Her feet are hidden behind sterling reeds that
grown up over the enameled portrait. The enameled portrait is attached
to a fibula style pin that is hinged on each side. Wonderful!
Measurements:
the approx height of the whole pin is 2-1/4” and the width is 1-7/8”.
The pendant alone is a hint over 2” high x 1-3/8” across the widest
points x 5/8” thick.
Markings: it is artist signed on the reverse
but I am unable to decipher the signature. I see no silver hallmark.
The silver has been tested and it is 925 sterling.
Near excellent condition. No damage to the enamel or the silver. The pin stem is slightly warped (very minor).
