A handsome Red Wing Union Stoneware 5-gallon jug, produced in Red Wing, Minnesota circa 1915–1930. This classic shoulder jug displays the cobalt “5” capacity mark, red wing emblem, and oval company stamp, all sharply impressed and clearly legible.

This large two-tone salt-glazed jug was originally used for storing and dispensing cider, vinegar, or spirits. The distinctive light gray body with buff glaze top is a Red Wing hallmark, and the combination of strong cobalt and red markings gives this example exceptional visual presence.

The jug retains its original handle and spout, with solid glaze coverage and natural factory texture throughout. Measuring approximately 18½ inches tall and 11 inches in diameter, this is an impressive and well-preserved display piece.
