Cisco Kid Radio Episodes 1950s ~ Rare 16" Transcription OTR Radio Ziv
There are 2 full Cisco Kid episodes represented on the 8 discs with
each episode recorded as two "sides" (part 1 on one side of a disc and part two on one side of a second disc). ALL DISCS RELATE TO EPISODES 161 AND 162. The 8 discs include duplicates. with the 8 discs you will have two full 2 disc copies of episodes 161/162 and one full copy of episode 161/162R. I do not know what the difference is between 162 and 162R, The episodes have the same name inscribed on the run out area.
- Program 161 and 162 – The Phantom Bandits and Cisco
Takes the Trail
The discs play at 33 1/3 rpm. Produced and distributed by the Frederic W. Ziv Co. and originally broadcast in 1950.
NOTE!!!!!!!: These are vintage and authentic 16" transcription discs sent to radio
stations in the 1950s around the U.S. to be played over the air as episodes of the classic Cisco Kid syndicated radio show. It is likely very
few of these records ever existed and far fewer still exist. While they are highly collectible, the discs cannot be played on an ordinary 33 rpm
turntable meant for 12" discs (the distance between the tone arm
attachment and the platter center hole is usually not great enough to handle a 16" record).
