This is an original GM aluminum intake for a Big Block Chevy engine with rectangular port heads and a Holley carb. The casting number is 3885069. The 3885069 intake was used by GM on the following applications: 1966-1968 L78 396/375HP and L72 427/425HP engines in Corvettes, Camaros, Chevelles, and Chevrolet fullsize cars. This intake has a casting date of 10.4.67. This is a real deal OEM GM intake with the Winter's Foundry logo. Don't miss this one.
This intake is in very good condition. It is in bare aluminum finish with no paints or coatings. The intake looks to be in its original finish, never glass bead or sand blasted. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs to this intake. The part number, firing order, and infamous Winter's foundry snowflake logo are intact and undisturbed as shown. All threads are in good condition with no helicoils or thread inserts. The cooling ports are free of corrosion. The intake ports are very nice with no porting. The only modification I see is the plenum below the carb has been removed for higher RPM performance just as found on the 1967 L88 427 engines. This is an awesome factory high performance intake.
