A fine engraving by Giacomo Fontana,( Italian Engraver) a pupil of Giovanni Maria Calderari. 1600-1665 and published by the Papal publishing house; Calcografia Camerale c1840.

This engraving has retained its colour, bright and unfaded, with fine lines and detail in black ink, the image measuring 31 cm x 20 cm (12 x 8 ins.) within a fine platemark and impression, on a medium wove paper sheet size  48 cm x 37 cm (18¾ x 14½ ins.)

The sheet carries a small embossed blindstamp and a collectors/gallery stamp to verso.

Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image is excellent. The sheet has time toning with light speckled foxing and handling marks condusive with age.
