I search the beaches near Melbourne, Florida for seashells I can decorate - this pink one is recent; here's what I did with it:

-Seashell

   a scallop shell, the outside is ribbed and decorated by nature, with pink/raspberry flowing designs, interspersed with lighter pink and offwhite.  The inside is very, very pale pink with darker pink near the rim.  I chose to decorate the inside and put the fan edge at the top.  The outside is very pretty, so if the pendant flips over - its a great look, too!

-Bail

   using rose gold colored wire, I created a round bail with a spiral base, hammered the base and glued it onto the outside top of the shell (using jeweler's glue).  The inner diameter of the bail opening is 1/4 inch, so you can change to most any cord, chain or ribbon.

-Upcycled decoration

   this pink heart shaped piece was either an orphan earring or a small pendant; it came from my stash of pretties.  It is 3/4 inch tall, with prong set large domed heart in the center, and tiny prong set round cabochons surrounding it.  I cemented it near the bottom and oh, yes, its almost a match to the pink near the upper rim!

-Chain

   didn't have any rose gold chain, so went with new sterling chain necklace, 18 inches long, fine (called Gossamer), with spring ring clasp marked .925.
