An exceptionally nice and near mint condition, fully working, full hunter gents pocket watch by the Elgin National Watch Co of Illinois, . USA. it will date by the movement serial number to 1921. See History Below.......
Movement:-
The excellent quality movement with gold gilding has just been serviced. It has been running well with a good balance action in all positions and been keeping very good time for a 100 + year old antique pocket watch. Button winding and hand set both function well.
Case:-
The beautiful condition Rolled Gold full hunter case measures 50mm diameter approx. The Gold Plating is in good condition as it is the heavier type of plating being guranteed to wear for 20 years from new. It has polished up very well to look just like a beautiful gold watch. It has good strong unstressed hinges and all the covers close well. The front cover springs opens easily and fully when the winding button is pressed .
Dial:-
It has a beautiful clean white ceramic dial with black Roman numerals and a smaller seconds dial. Original blued steel hands and clear acrylic glass all add to the excellent quality of the watch.
An excellent condition, quality American pocket watch for the Collector or for Occasional Use.
