Plane Prototype History:
The Kamov Ka-52 Is An Armed Helicopter Designed By The Kamov Design Bureau Of The Soviet Union (Now Known As The Russian Helicopter Company), Which Is A Coaxial Counter Rotating Twin Wing Parallel Twin Seat Armed Helicopter. In Order To Meet The Needs Of Modern Warfare, The Russian Army Aviation Has Been Seeking New Combat Helicopters Since The 1980s To Replace The Old-Fashioned Mi-24 Main Attack Helicopter. The Kamov Design Bureau (Now Known As The Russian Helicopter Company) Launched The Ka-50 "Black Shark" - One Of The World' S First Single Seat Armed Helicopters, But Its Single Seat Layout Exposed The Problem Of Excessive Pilot Burden In Actual Combat. Based On This, The Kamov Design Bureau Developed A Two Seater Improved Version - The Ka-52 "Alligator", Which Made Its Maiden Flight In June 1997 And Entered Service In 2011. It Not Only Retains The Excellent Performance Of The Ka-50, But Also Enhances Its Protection And Attack Capabilities, And Undertakes A Wider Range Of Tasks Such As Battlefield Reconnaissance And Command And Control. The Ka-52 Adopts A Unique Coaxial Counter Rotating Twin Rotor Design, With Two Rotors Of The Same Size But Rotating In Opposite Directions, Offsetting Each Other'S Rotational Torque. This Design Brings Multiple Advantages And Improves Flight Safety. The Most Notable Feature Of The Ka-52 Is The Use Of A Parallel Two Seater Cockpit, Which Is Completely Different From The Tandem Two Seater Layout Of Most Armed Helicopters. The Advantage Of This Layout Is That Pilots And Weapon Operators Can Share Certain Instrument Equipment, Simplify Operations, Facilitate Direct Communication And Coordination, And Facilitate Joint Observation Of The Surrounding Environment During Ultra-Low Altitude Flight. The Ka-52 Is Equipped With Two Tb3-117bma Turboshaft Engines, Each With A Power Of 2200 Horsepower. The Engine Is Located On Both Sides Of The Fuselage, Reducing The Probability Of Being Hit Simultaneously. The Air Inlet Is Equipped With A Sand And Dust Prevention Device, And The Exhaust Outlet Has An Infrared Suppressor, Which Can Reduce The Infrared Radiation Of The Engine. The Ka-52 Has A Rich Weapon System With 5 Weapon Mounting Points: 1 Cannon Mounting Point And 4 Wing Mounting Points. The Ka-52 Has Made Appearances In Multiple Military Operations, Such As Providing Sustained And Powerful Firepower Support To Ground Forces During The Battle For Hostomel Airport In The Russia Ukraine War, Resisting Ukrainian Counterattacks. The Ka-52 "Alligator" Holds A Unique Position In The World' S Armed Helicopter Family Due To Its Coaxial Twin Rotors For Agility And Safety, Excellent Crew Collaboration With Parallel Twin Seats, And Diverse And Powerful Weapon Configurations.
