The Yamaha QY300, released in 1992, is an all-in-one music sequencer and workstation with a built-in
sound module, and it is a model that symbolizes the early days of computer-based music production.
Within the QY series, it is positioned as the "core model", taking a step beyond the compact, portable
models (QY10/20) to enable full-scale music production on a desktop setup. It features a large LCD
screen, rubber keys, and a floppy disk drive (FDD), and became a massive hit among artists and
producers of the time as a "sketchbook for songwriting".
