Rare Antique Hickory Shaft St. Andrews Forged "MIDIRON" Wooden Golf Club

This is a vintage, hickory-shaft golf club made in St. Andrews, Scotland, more than a century ago -- and possibly as far back as the late 1800s.

St. Andrews, of course, is generally considered to be the birthplace of golf and was for centuries pretty much the only place where golf equipment was made. It's a great conversation piece and a very interesting collectible.

**Please note that, like most extremely old golf clubs, repairs have been made throughout the years -- generally to the grip which has a tendency to wear out over time. This was part of my late father's collection, neither of us made any attempt to clean/repair/restore this. **
