made by renowned silversmith Nathaniel Mills

Fully hallmarked with anchor for Birmingham assay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid silver, Queen's head, date letter "X" for the year 1846 and the maker's mark "N.M" which is Nathaniel Mills.

Condition - In good condition, a couple of minor dints to the base, decoration is clear, hinge is strong, no splits, holes, repairs, grille hinge is strong, silver-gilt is rich and bright
