How to Inflate Mylar (Foil) Self-Sealing Balloons

1. Locate the Inflation Valve

Find the flat valve located on the “tail” of the balloon.

2. Attach to Pump or Helium Tank

Gently slide the valve onto the nozzle of your air pump or helium tank until it fits securely.No pump at home? You can also use a straw for manual inflation.

3. Start Inflating

Hold the valve firmly and slowly inflate the balloon with air or helium.Inflate gently—do not overfill—to prevent the balloon from bursting.

4. Self-Sealing Feature

Mylar balloons seal automatically.After inflating, remove the nozzle and press the valve flat a few times to ensure it is fully sealed.

5. Decoration Options

With helium: Tie the balloon to a weight to keep it from floating away.

With air: Attach the balloon to walls, backdrops, balloon garlands, arches, or other décor structures.

How to Make Balloons Float

Helium Required:Latex balloons (and foil balloons) must be inflated with helium in order to float.Air-filled balloons will not float.
