Corgi Aviation Archive AA32608 1/72 scale Avro Lancaster MKIII (Special) AJ-G, ED932, Wing Commander Guy GibsonO/C 617 Squadron, RAF, "The Dam Busters" Raid, 16/17th. May 1943. Operation Chastise.
The Dam Busters raid "Operation Chastise" was, arguably, the most publicised RAF bombing raid of the war when the dams of the Ruhr Valley were attacked and severely damaged on the night of 16/17th May 1943.
The model is in Mint condition. The box has had some storage wear and tear and is split at one end with various scuffs and marks (please see pictures). The model has only been removed from its box once to check it when I bought it. The polystyrene container is unmarked and the ancillary parts and the battery for the under fuselage spotlights are still sealed. This is one of only two Corgi Dam Busters Lancasters to have lights installed. They were later omitted by corgi as a cost cutting exercise.
like all my items, this has been priced very competitively to sell.
This model has already reached iconic status and you will not find a better value example than this.
UK bidders only please.
