Easy Installation: First, install the outer o-ring and second, install the inner o-ring, which can be a bit difficult to insert, which is where the long, thin tool comes into play. You need to put the o-ring into the inner groove of the injector and use a slender tool. Next, insert the ball, then the spring.
Warm Tip: When inserting the injector onto the manifold and tightening it with a half-inch wrench or socket, make sure not to over tighten it, as this could cause it to snap or strip the manifold's aluminum threads. Just stick to it and the O-ring will keep it from leaking.
Replacement Method: Remove the old fuel injector with a wrench. Remove any sticky or dry soap from the container. Make sure the rubber o-ring is on the injector as shown. Put the ball bearing in the injector, and then use the spring on the small end of the spring against the ball bearing. Insert the injector into the socket and use a 13mm wrench to tighten the injector. Do not overtighten or it will damage the o-rings or crack the white metal on the pump.
