This is an original a pair of OEM GM high performance cylinder heads for Small Block Chevy engines. The casting number on each head is 3782461. This casting is known as a “camel hump” or “camel back” head due to the double humps cast into the ends of the head. The camel hump heads were reserved for the higher performance Small Block Chevy engines. This particular head is set up from the factory for 1.94 inch intake and 1.50 inch exhaust valves. These heads have matched casting dates of K 1 3 which decode as November 1st, 1963. This is a real deal pair of 1963 dated camel hump heads.

These heads are in good condition as shown. These recently came out of the estate of a life long hot rodder and were part of his personal stash for a future build. These heads appear to have been rebuilt befroe they were stashed away and should be gone through again after decades of storage. The heads have been inspected for cracks and are guaranteed to be crack free. They are complete with factory valves, springs, and retainers. The rocker studs have been changed to the screw in style and were also pinned a few times in the past. They also have a partial set of slide over guide plates that I have not seen before but look pretty chinsy to me. I personally think it would be a good idea to machine these heads for more modern screw in studs and guide plates.. The intake and exhaust ports have very nice port work as shown. I don;t see any stampings by the prorter but these came from Souther California and look to be Mondello type work or somene with equal talent. All threads are in good condition with no helicoils or thread inserts. These are simply very nice factory high performance heads with performance upgrades that have survived the test of time. These heads are cores that have been in cool,dry storage for decades and will need to be rebuilt before use. These 3782461 heads are becoming very hard to find in any condition.
